The Count Down is One
The count down is on… my ticket is bought and I will be leaving the great white north on January 10th, approximately 36 days, just over a month, and I am SOOOOOO excited. Don’t get me wrong, I will miss all you guys like crazy and probably even shed a few tears in the good byes, but I am so excited. I have been missing Colombia like cray and I can’t wait to start the next part of this crazy journey God has me on. I am so excited that we have a permanent home for Camp Gozo, I am so excited to go and buy all the stuff to furnish camp and to get camp started, apparently the kids have been asking when we are going to do camp again, but I just may be more excited then they are. I am also excited to have visitors (hint, hint). So to say the least there are a lot of reasons to be excited.
There are also a lot of reasons to be thankful. I am so thankful for my time here. I am so thankful for the time that I got to reconnect with old friends and for all the new friends that I made. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with my family and so thankful for all the time I got to spend in the mountains. I am so thankful for all the rest I got and all the lessons that I learned. I am so thankful for all the hockey I got to watch and for a road trip to Anaheim. I am oh so thankful for my time in New Zealand (a country I always wanted to go to), all the people I met, all the tools I walked away with and just the time of restoration it was. So while I have missed Colombia, this time here in Canada was really needed and it has been a year full of blessings.
As I go back I do have a few prayer requests….
- A smooth transition back and that getting my visa and all the paper that is involved will go smoothly and effortlessly
- That all the money that came in to furnish Camp Gozo will stretch to cover everything we need and all the little extras that I didn’t think about
- I am desperately in need of a more permanent camp team (2-3 people) to be part of the leadership team
- and I am in desperate need for an admin person (my greatest weakness and my greatest stress when it come to camp work).
Thank again for all your prayers and for partnering with me in this journey, I really couldn’t do it without you guys.
Thank you for making this year a year full of memories and laughter and lots of good heart talks.
Thanks for building me up and encouraging me so I can truly go back to Colombia ready to get right back into it.
Thank you…
Love each and everyone of you
