Life of Ingie as of late

What has been happening in the life of Ingie you may ask, I would tell you that is a good question.  I can believe where the time has gone.  It’s already the middle of May and in a month we will already be half done the school year.  CRAZY.  While the girls I work with have a lot going on in their lives and while at time it seems overwhelming I am very blessed to be working with them.   Such a difference from last year when everything seemed to be a fight, this year it feels like real work can be done know that a relationship has been formed and trust has been built. We have also split up the girls and have been doing smaller group discipleship with them, which has been good.   My girls have been honest and open and have some hard questions and have shared their doubts, which have been awesome that they are willing to be so honest, but please pray for me and for wisdom as I attempt to answer their questions.   There are two girls that a...

Some News

Once again it’s been too long and once again there is a lot to share. We had the boys 14-18 camp.  It was a little bit stressful leading up to it, once again I had staff cancel, some leaving early, some arriving late.  While this required some juggling around it all worked out because we only had a few boys sign up.  It went well over all.  They were well behaved (well for the most past but we do expect some misbehavior now and then).  And if I am being honest, with this group it’s hard to tell how much they are receiving and how attentive they are for the devotional times.  I just pray that what they learned and experienced here, not only through the devotionals, but also through the games and activities and interactions with the staff, that will take root and grow in their hearts once they leave camp and that the memories will stay with them.  I always like to remind myself that God brought them here for a reas...

New Adventure Starts Now, well actually it starts tomorrow...

Here we go on another adventure, tomorrow (if I get this blog written and posted today), I leave to go to New Zealand……So I thought I would just take a couple minutes to update you all on what is happening in the next phase of my journey… I came back to Canada mid December and it was so nice to catch up with a few of you and those that I haven’t seen, do not fear I am just gone for a few short months and then I will be back. So as I mentioned I leave tomorrow for New Zealand, and I am SUPER pumped… this is a dream come true, it has been on my bucket list for awhile now.  I will spend a month travelling around, seeing the sites as well as visiting some friends and then mid February I head to my Leadership Development Course for six weeks.  I am so looking forward to this course and have heard nothing but great things about it and I think it will be so beneficial to leading camp in the future.
