It's 2019

Well I have been back for almost a month now and its been good being back and getting settled back in.  Two good friends of mine that met here and got married but left to live in England for the past 3 years are now back and going to be living and working on the farm (doing agriculture work), so I have been pretty excited about that.  Last week we had a week of orientation and staff bounding time, which was nice to see and connect with people again.  We had a couple come and speak to us and talk to us about God’s faithfulness and His goodness, even when the suffered the loss of a daughter to leukemia.  It was really powerful and a good reminder that even in the hardest circumstances that God is always good and always faithful.  I will have to keep reminding myself of this when things with life and camp get overwhelming.

With some very lovely friends I have already gotten one shopping trip out of the way and will have a couple more to do and I have a lot of admin stuff to do before camp start, like I am going to start working on a staff manual and the last year forms are in disarray so I need to get on top of that as well.  This week there is a DTS (a discipleship training school from YWAM) coming to help to do outdoor work and clean up outside, which will be really helpful.  So while it seems that the first camp is a long way off, I somehow manage to keep myself busy and somehow still feel rushed when the first camp comes around.
The boy that got hurt is still healing, he now has a bridge and in a couple of years will get implants.  There has been some financial costs involved in this and the situation still isn't 100% sorted out as there is some legal stuff to sort out.  (It is now out of my hands and all I can do is pray and try not to let it occupy my thoughts).

I think that’s all I have for now, but here is the camp schedule for the year with some prayer points.

Prayers Points

Praises

·         Friends moving up to that farm, more community, safer and more laughter

·         Camp finances have been good, I can shop for little things we need without worry

·         Safety on the farm, there has been no incidents here and I have been feeling safe

Please keep praying for

·         A permanent team to help with responsibilities and decision making

·         For staff for the camps, a lot of the staff that have been coming now have jobs or have moved out of the city

·         For the water situation, we are in dry season that means we have to pump on a more regular basis
